This one and one half story brick pattern book house is
the only early house in Spring City to be placed diagonally
upon the lot. The gables and dormers contain decorative
wooden shingle patterns. It was built in 1912 for Freeman
Allred, a surveyor, who claimed that Spring City was not
laid out to the true cardinal points of the compass. He situated
his house on what he said were the true north-south
lines. The home was later sold to Elenora Allred.
