Friends of Historic Spring City is a nonprofit 501C-3 corporation dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting the historic environment of the Spring City area through public awareness, advocacy and active preservation. Spring City has been designated a National Historic District. Our group has been working on preservation of the Old Spring City School for about 25 years; writing grants, raising funds through events like Heritage Day and the Fall Flea Market. We currently are trying to broaden our influence in the community by helping owners purchase historic plaques for their buildings, help save threatened barns and outbuildings from collapse, set up a research library and reestablish the annual Old Folks Party with our Heritage Day celebration. If you would like to join the Friends of Historic Spring City in their preservation efforts please contact us.
